"Existential threat" = mối đe dọa hiện sinh -> nghĩa là sự đe dọa đối với chính sự tồn tại của cái gì (đang gặp nguy hiểm), với sinh vật thực tiễn cũng như với những thứ không còn hiện hữu (như quốc gia hoặc hệ tư tưởng).

Decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) pose an “existential threat to the tax base” since they are recognized as partnerships and as such are not liable to company tax, according to Australian Senator Andrew Bragg.
Under fire from Russian forces and facing an existential threat, Ukraine has taken steps to anchor itself to the rest of Europe. President Volodymyr Zelensky called for a decision on Ukrainian membership “once and for all” at the weekend before formally signing an application for EU membership on Monday and appealing for his country to be fast-tracked in its effort to join the bloc.
The Biden administration's climate change policies have sharply increased oil prices, damaging the domestic economy and increasing the cost of nearly everything consumers buy. By increasing revenues for Russian President Vladimir Putin's regime, they also made Russia stronger and more dangerous at a critical time, thus damaging national security. It is worth noting that Russia’s invasions (xâm lược) of Georgia in 2008, Ukraine in 2014, and Ukraine again this year each happened after an oil price spike. But worst of all, the Biden administration’s basis for these policies, the claim that global warming presents an “existential threat,” is fraudulent (lừa đảo). It is not based on any scientific consensus, and in fact, it ignores evidence of environmental benefits of global warming that offset its harm.
