"Life is not all peaches and cream" có cream là điều tốt nhất, tinh hoa -> cụm từ này nghĩa là cuộc sống không phải lúc nào cũng vui vẻ hồn nhiên, vô tư, mà còn có rất nhiều khó khăn và gian khổ trong thực tế so với những gì một người có thể hình dung; 'đời không như là mơ', 'đời không phải lúc nào cũng màu hồng'.
Ví dụ

Mmmm, the best!

Reid does a great job of writing interesting characters, but then she makes the mistake of introducing too many of them, leaving the reader lost in a web of insignificant side characters.
