"Don't tread on me" -> nghĩa là 'đừng giẫm đạp, chèn ép tôi', câu nói này thường được in trên lá cờ Chiến tranh Cách mạng (cờ Gadsden), cùng với hình con rắn đuôi chuông cuộn tròn.
