"Talk for the sake of talking" nghĩa là gì?

"Talk for the sake of talking" = nói vì lợi ích của cuộc trò chuyện -> nghĩa là nói theo kiểu tự đắc, tự mãn, không quan tâm lời người khác nói; nghĩa khác là trò chuyện phiếm để tránh bầu không khí im lặng; 'nói chỉ để mà nói'.

He’s no-nonsense, he doesn’t talk for the sake of talking (which is a seriously irritating (gây khó chịu) trait (đặc điểm) of some ex-players when you hear them on the TV and radio during games), oohs and ahhs like we all do when we’re watching from our seat, and isn’t afraid to have a go at the players if they’ve done something crap. I’d like to hear more from him, please!
