"Double income, no kids" nghĩa là gì?

"Double income, no kids" thường được viết tắt là DINK = không con cái, nhân đôi thu nhập -> nghĩa là cặp đôi sống chung không có con, cả hai đều có công ăn việc làm, thường sống thoải mái hơn các gia đình phải nuôi con cái.

Ví dụ
“The rise in consumer segments like DINKs (Double Income No Kids) and nuclear families (gia đình hai thế hệ, bố mẹ và con cái) has led to an increased focus on the home. This has resulted in higher investments in functional and aesthetic furniture, furnishings, and home decor,” added Chaitanya.

This triggered off career change search to safer and more stable segments like banks, hospitals and start-up entrepreneurship (doanh nghiệp) in standalone F&B business space in their hometowns. As most of them are young-double income-no kids’ couples willing to seek work-life balance, enabling jobs to augment (làm tăng) their income even if it means a lower salary but better family life.

Once upon a time, when someone got married, it automatically meant that the couple had to procreate (sinh đẻ) and have kids within the next few years. Gone are those days. DINK is a popular term for millennials and Gen Xers who may wait it out to have kids or choose to not have kids at all. The acronym (từ viết tắt) stands for Double Income No Kids (DINK) — implying that both the partners may be working and making a good income but not choosing to have children. It is becoming more and more popular among people living in the bigger cities.
