Hu Jintao bị out

Có một bộ phim cung đấu Trung Hoa vừa mới được công chiếu tại đại hội Đảng Cộng sản Trung Quốc lần thứ 20.

The new Central Committee does not include Premier Li Keqiang, who at 67 has yet to reach retirement age (tuổi nghỉ hưu). Nor does it include party No. 4 Wang Yang (Uông Dương), who is the same age. Both are associated (bạn đồng liêu, người cùng cộng tác; đồng minh) with Hu's Communist Youth League faction (đoàn phái).

In yet another significant blow (đòn) to Hu, Vice Premier Hu Chunhua, his protege (người được bảo trợ, người được che chở) dubbed (đặt tên, mệnh danh) "Little Hu," (Tiểu Hồ) not only failed to join the Politburo Standing Committee but also was driven out of the Politburo the following day despite being a relatively young 59.

On Sunday, Xi entered his third term as the party's general secretary and introduced the six other members of the new Politburo Standing Committee, packed with his close aides (phụ tá).

The drama over Hu Jintao's exit was the culmination (đỉnh cao, lên đến đỉnh điểm) of a political battle (trận đánh) fought over the past decade.

At the closing ceremony, a deputy director of the General Office of the Communist Party (văn phòng trung ương đảng), an organization serving as Xi's secretariat (ban thư ký), showed Hu the door.

It looked like this was against Hu's will. Twice, the former leader tried to go back to his seat. Judging from the Xinhua explanation (giải thích), Hu would not have wanted to leave the stage at this point -- without fulfilling the task that he had in mind, whatever that may have been.

After exchanging words with Xi, Hu patted Li Keqiang on the shoulder (vai) as if to comfort (an ủi) the premier forced into retirement.
