"You mean to tell me" nghĩa là gì?

"You mean to tell me" -> câu dùng để nói thêm, nhấn mạnh thêm về điều vừa nghe thấy vì khó tin quá.
Ví dụ
In an interview (cuộc phỏng vấn) with Entertainment Weekly, the film's director, Kenneth Johnson, revealed that “In the early concept (ý tưởng) drawings, it was really dark and [had] quills sticking out. It was nightmarish.” So you mean to tell me what we're seeing above is not nightmarish?! I shudder to think what might have been!!
“Aegon looks like Finn Wolfhard in a bad wig (tóc giả) and I can’t get past it,” another waded in, while an additional fan stated: “You mean to tell me Aegon is NOT played by Finn Wolfhard???” One fan commented: “My brain knows that it isn’t him, but my eyes are not convinced!”
You mean to tell me there isn’t some over-paid bureaucrat (quan liêu) in our city government who wouldn’t be able to assess the homeless problem? Or is HUD calling that shot?
