"It's a free country" nghĩa là gì?

"It's a free country" = đất nước tự do mà -> câu hài hước dùng khi ai đang cố ngăn cản làm việc gì, mặc dù điều đó hoàn toàn được phép.

Ví dụ
To be sure, it’s a free country. If Trump wants to argue (biện luận) that the United States is “evil,” that’s his right. If he’s convinced that the United States is not a force for good in the world, he’s welcome to make the case.

And so, rather than warning against it… they decided to take advantage (lợi dụng) of it. Hey, it’s a free country, right? And a free world?

It doesn’t come into this brotherhood – it’s a free country, so I guess you can say whatever you want to say, right? You can say the sky is green, congrats. But, inside this locker room we’re brothers and we’re going to stick by each other through thick and thin and we understand that we’ve got to get back on track and that’s what we’re doing.

“He knows that our narrative devalues (hạ thấp giá trị) everything that America is about — that it’s a free country, built on democracy,” she said.
