A woman has stumbled (vấp, va) across what many believe to be a whale's penis (dương vật cá voi) that had washed ashore.

The large, greyish object was found by a woman who'd been walking along the beach at Magnetic Island, in northern Queensland, this week.

It appeared to have been detached (rời) from an animal, with its fleshy insides seen at the top.

Confused as to what the mysterious object may be, she decided to share a video of it on TikTok in the hopes someone could identify it.

'What the f**k is that? It's massive, like the size of my leg,' she said. 'Ew, disgusting.'

Fellow TikTokkers speculated it was a whale's penis, noting humpback whales are currently breeding in the area.

The video even caught the attention of wildlife researcher Dr Vanessa Pirotta, who said scientists would be unable to confirm exactly what the object is without seeing it for themselves.
