Subject to advice and consent to ratification (phê chuẩn) by the U.S. Senate and ratification by the Croatian Parliament, the treaty (hiệp ước) will protect both American and Croatian taxpayers from double taxation (đánh thuế hai lần), through the allocation of taxing rights between the two countries.
The Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, shall appoint a number of magistrates (quan tòa) for each county as provided by law. The General Assembly shall provide for their terms of office and their civil and criminal jurisdiction. The terms of office must be uniform (thống nhất) throughout the State.
