"Baader-Meinhof phenomenon" -> nghĩa là hiệu ứng Baader-Meinhof, là sự ảo tưởng tần suất. Khi ta tiếp thu điều gì mới mẻ thì não bộ vô thức dành nhiều thời gian hơn chú ý đến nó, phân tích và nghiền ngẫm, để rồi cuối cùng cảm thấy thứ đó đang ngập tràn xung quanh.

Ví dụ
I’ve mentioned the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon in this space before — you know, when you learn a new word (for instance, “tacit,” in Wordle) and then you suddenly notice it everywhere. It happened to me this weekend as we were showing off Boston's history and architecture to our West Coast friends.

It is known as the Frequency Illusion or Bias and, more informally, the Baader-Meinhof Phenomenon. The latter coining was apparently by a newspaper reader in Minnesota, US, who, in a letter to the newspaper in 1994 described it as a phenomenon in which, after the first time you learn a new word, phrase or idea, you see that word, phrase or idea again within 24 hours.

The frequency illusion (ảo giác tần số) — also known as the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon — describes our tendency (khuynh hướng) to notice something for the first time and then suddenly to see it everywhere, giving us the impression that it’s come from nowhere and taken over the world. In reality, it only seems to be everywhere because we’re noticing it more. The bias is also sometimes referred to as “red (or blue) car syndrome (hội chứng)” in honor of people who have decided to buy a red (or blue) car to stand out from the crowd, only to find themselves surrounded by cars of the same color.
