"Civil twilight" nghĩa là gì?

"Civil twilight" = chạng vạng dân dụng -> nghĩa là giai đoạn mà ánh sáng tự nhiên vẫn đủ cho các hoạt động ngoài trời mà chưa cần ánh sáng nhân tạo. Chạng vạng dân dụng buổi sáng bắt đầu khi tâm đĩa Mặt Trời hình học ở vị trí 6° dưới đường chân trời và kết thúc khi Mặt Trời mọc.

The second alternative instant of peak darkness takes into account all twilight phases, including nautical and civil twilight. During those two phases, the sky is noticeably brighter. However, there’s still no direct sunlight.

Civil twilight, nautical twilight, and astronomical (thiên văn học) twilight are the three types of twilight recognised by astronomers (nhà thiên văn học). In a 24-hour cycle, all three phases occur twice, first between day and night and then again during night and day.

At 5:45 in the morning, there was a rusting rim (vành, vầng) on the horizon, dull orange, rising through a forgotten yellow, sick green and spiritless blue. This is the dusk before dawn called nautical (biển, hàng hải) twilight. Then comes civil twilight, a peach and lemon-yellow fire. The difference is in the degrees the sun is beneath the horizon over the far side of the planet.
