"Last hired, first fired" -> nghĩa là những nhân viên mới tuyển thường là những người đầu tiên bị sa thải.
Ví dụ
You know the old adage last hired, first fired? Well, that doesn't apply to Kody's marriages (hôn nhân) because Robyn Brown was the last wife he met, the only wife he legally married, and is the last wife standing. In fact, we witnessed (chứng kiến) their marriage during Season 1 of the show. Much of the friction between Robyn and the other three wives stems from the perceived preferential (ưu đãi) treatment of Robyn.
For those who would ask, “why are brands focusing on the Black community in the U.S.?”, the Black dollar and body (slavery, sharecropping (lĩnh canh), last hired-first fired practices) has been utilized (tận dụng) to prop up the economy and businesses, while the people in the Black communities are still undereducated and underserved.
In essence (thực chất), rapid increases in interest rates could cause a recession and thus a return to the experience of “last hired, first fired” for people of color (người da màu).
Further interest rate hikes do not bode well (báo trước điểm tốt) for equitable (công bằng) employment levels in general. Tighter monetary (tiền tệ) policy causes companies to consolidate (củng cố) their workforces to the rhythm of “last hired, first fired.” And that means women and Black employees are usually the first to get cut.
