Cuộc sống tiếp của một tuyệt tác kiến trúc đã mục nát

Fifty years ago, the Nakagin Capsule Tower in Tokyo was hailed (ca ngợi) as a marvel of organic architecture (tuyệt tác của kiến trúc hữu cơ). The futuristic tower was composed (bao gồm) of 140 detachable (có thể tháo rời) capsules (khối), each suitable for a single resident and with a porthole (cửa sổ) looking out — like a pile of eyes (đống mắt) fixed (dán chặt) on the city.

But the tower fell into disrepair (hư hỏng) and was finally dismantled (tháo dỡ) in 2022, its 140 capsules mostly beyond saving (không thể tiết kiệm). But 23 pods survived. Now these orphaned puzzle pieces are embarking (bắt đầu) on a second life across Japan and the world as art spaces, museum pieces and even holiday accommodations.
