'Snail fever' nghĩa là bệnh sán máng (schistosomiasis, is a parasitic disease of the liver, gastrointestinal tract and bladder, the disease is caused by a specific worm which enters a person's body from infested polluted water).

Ví dụ
Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has called for comprehensive prevention and treatment measures to wipe out schistosomiasis, a parasitic (giun ký sinh) disease commonly known as snail fever.

Most people have never heard of elephantiasis (bệnh chân voi), river blindness (= onchocerciasis: bệnh giun chỉ u), snail fever, trachoma (bệnh mắt hột), hookworm (giun móc), whipworm (giun roi) or roundworm (giun tròn). These seven parasitic and bacterial infections impact one in six people worldwide, including half a billion children.

Laura and I made five stops on the trip. At each, we saw inspiring examples of our new partnerships with Africa. I met schoolchildren in Benin and Liberia who had textbooks, thanks to our Africa Education Initiative. In Rwanda, I signed a bilateral investment treaty that would increase access to financing for Rwandan entrepreneurs. In Ghana, I announced a new initiative to fight neglected tropical diseases (NPDs) like hookworm and snail fever.
