"Sit tight" nghĩa là gì?

'Sit tight' không phải là 'ngồi chặt' đâu nhé mấy bạn :) Từ này dùng để chỉ việc ngồi đợi một cách kiên nhẫn mà không gây ra tiếng động hay có hành động nào. Ngoài ra nó cũng dùng để nói tới việc kiên định, không thay đối suy nghĩ. 'Ngồi yên nhé' là câu mẹ chúng mình hay nhắc bọn trẻ con không đùa nghịch chỗ công cộng này.

“With so many unknowns in play, many households will sit tight during the next two to three months.
"I think Australians are going to have to sit tight and wait to see how this political crisis plays out, to see to what extent there's actually going to be any impact in terms of British-Australia relations."
The conventional (quy ước, thông thường) wisdom is that if the federal funds rate is cut by 50 basis points, the markets will rally (cải thiện) significantly. If the Fed cuts by only 25 basis points, the markets will rally a little bit. I’m not sure anybody expects the Fed to sit tight, but if the Fed were to sit tight, conventional wisdom would be for the markets to fall.
