"Blue blood" nghĩa là gì?

'Blue blood' = máu xanh. Từ này bắt nguồn từ tiếng Tây Ban Nha, để chỉ dòng máu thuần chủng của giới quý tộc, không bị lai với những người Moor. Theo đó bọn họ có da trắng nên các đường mạch máu hiện lên xanh hơn với những người Tây Ban Nha có máu lai. Cụm từ này được dùng phổ biến tại Anh từ đầu thế kỉ 19 -> gia đình quý tộc, giàu có, tầng lớp thượng lưu hoặc để chỉ tổ tiên.
