"Dog days" nghĩa là gì?

"Dog days" có từ "dog" xuất phát từ ngôi sao tiếng Hy Lạp "α Canis Majoris", nghĩa đen là chó con. Người xưa coi chòm sao này là sức nóng, hạn hán, bão, chó dại và xui xẻo. Ngày nay, "dog days" được xem là những ngày nóng nhất, khó chịu nhất của mùa hè.
