"Funny money" = Tiền chùa/tiền vui chơi -> Tiền giả, tiền chỉ được dùng ở một nơi cụ thể hoặc tờ ngoại tệ.

Ví dụ
CHERRY VALLEY, Ark. (KAIT) - Some funny money is making the rounds in Cherry Valley. The police department stated on social media Wednesday that officers confiscated (bị tịch thu) several counterfeit $100 bills during a Monday traffic stop.

The Shelby Township Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify a group of people. Police say the “merry band” paid for a bill with some “funny money.” Their bill was $137. It happened at Nick’s 22nd Street located at 48900 Van Dyke Ave.

Visitors also can see the first public exhibit of a recently discovered $2 million California Gold Rush-era gold coin, as well as displays of a fabled (nói bịa) 1804-dated U.S. silver dollar insured for $4 million, historic ancient coins, and examples of “funny money” blunders (người khờ khạo) — $1 through $100 denomination bills mistakenly printed with various errors, such as upside down or entirely missing serial numbers.
