'God helps those who help themselves' = Chúa giúp đỡ những ai biết tự giúp chính mình -> bạn không thể trông chờ vào sự trợ giúp từ người khác mà phải tự nỗ lực để đạt những gì bạn muốn. Khi bạn tự cố gắng, những điều may mắn, và sự trợ giúp sẽ đồng hành cùng với bạn.

Ví dụ
"I know that you are great worshipers (người sùng đạo) but God helps those who help themselves. It is now time to confront the government and remind them that their one of the major mandates is to ensure the wellbeing of the citizens so that a Mosotho woman like 'Mé Doti can sleep soundlessly in her home.

″‘Trust in God but tie (buộc chặt) your camel (lạc đà)’ is an Islamic proverb that I related to library planning,” Hawkins explained. “In our culture, we might understand it as ‘God helps those who help themselves.’” Hawkins also described information from an SCKLS study that identified two general trends of change in south-central area public libraries.

When was the last time you heard someone say knowingly “God helps those who help themselves. Just like the Bible says.” We know the Bible (Kinh Thánh) actually does not say that. Instead, the Bible does say, “The helpless commit themselves to you: you have been the helper of the orphan ... O Lord, you will hear the desire of the meek (nhu mì, dễ bảo); you will strengthen their heart, you will incline your ear to do justice for the orphan and the oppressed.” Psalm 10:14-18.
