"Locker room talk" nghĩa là gì?

"Locker room talk" = cuộc nói chuyện trong phòng thay đồ. Phòng thay đồ là nơi riêng tư, vì thế khi một nhóm người cùng nói chuyện ở đó thì thường sẽ tâm sự về những chuyện riêng tư, thầm kín. Cụm từ này nghĩa là cuộc nói chuyện thô lỗ, thô tục, hay nói bậy, thường liên quan đến khoe mẽ về việc chinh phục tình cảm của một ai đó hoặc về vấn đề tình dục.
Ví dụ
"To have that secret insider to tell me what he thought of the guys, the locker room talk. It was a game-changer. I trust my family so much, and he's such a good judge of character, I was like: 'Oh, this going to be good'," Angie told 10 Daily.
Instead, she simply depicts them in action: teenage boys ranking girls’ bodies, a peer in her teen Bible study group pretending to grope her breast (no one cared), inescapable “locker room talk.”
When Donald Trump apologized for what he called his “locker room talk” about women during the 2016 election campaign, for instance, many Republican politicians and voters admitted the behaviour was wrong – but they still stuck by him, believing his actions on other policies outweighed this revelation.
