'The primrose path' có từ 'primrose' là hoa anh thảo, con đường hoa anh thảo (nghĩ thôi đã thấy nên thơ rồi) -> con đường hưởng lạc, truy hoan có thể dẫn tới kết cục bất lợi.

Ví dụ
Wardwell’s take: “Marriage is a walk down the primrose path towards a woman’s destruction (tàn phá). It’s nothing less than the complete obliteration (xóa sạch) of a woman’s personhood. It takes everything from her: her body, her independence, even her soul. And gives nothing in return. Nothing she’d want, at any rate.”

The current drove of Democrats running for president seem hell-bent (khăng khăng) on the primrose path to perdition (kiếp trầm luân, đọa đày). Each one is trying to prove he is more radical than the other, regardless of whether or not this is palatable (có thể chấp nhận) to the American voter. They proudly present the larceny and oppression of socialism and the faux promises of lots of free stuff.

"It's unlikely the Fed would risk ignoring the markets' signalling (tín hiệu), especially after taking a dovish turn at the June (policy) meeting, which sparked a broad risk-on rally and overshadowed concerns about slowing US and global growth," said Stephen Innes at Vanguard Markets. "After all, there is that small thing called 'credibility issues', so why on Earth would the Fed want to lead markets down the primrose path?"

We regret (lấy làm tiếc) to inform you that, as studies have proven in recent years, putting basically anything enjoyable in your body is now provably bad. Sodas are bad for you. Diet sodas are also bad for you. Fast food has been getting worse for decades, pretty much anything processed at large is a poor choice, and it goes without saying that drinking any kind of alcohol (đồ có cồn) is sending you down the primrose path to perdition.
