"Count sheep" nghĩa là gì?

"Count sheep" = đếm cừu -> cụm từ này nghĩa là thực hiện bài tập trí não bằng cách lặp đi lặp lại một điều gì đó như một cách để làm dịu tâm trí và cố gắng đi vào giấc ngủ (chẳng hạn như phương pháp truyền thống là đếm cừu tưởng tượng); quá tỉnh táo vào ban đêm hoặc bị chứng mất ngủ.
Ví dụ
If ever I have trouble sleeping, I ask one of my staff (nhân viên) to count sheep for me. As you know, I'm a very busy man, and this saves a very great deal of time.
Some count sheep to help them fall asleep, I create stories in my head. Getting decent sleep is a constant source of frustration for travelers especially, as adjusting to a new bed or attempting to get a few winks in transit can prove quite challenging.
