"Eat at" nghĩa là gì?

"Eat (away) at (someone or something)" = Liên tục làm phiền, quấy rầy ai/ăn mòn cái gì.

Ví dụ
She tried to make it work with Jesse, then with Tom, and all the while, we saw her emotions eat at her as she let us in on her love life.

In the class, she learned that women who end up using opioids (thuốc giảm đau có tính chất thuốc phiện) have likely either been assaulted (tấn công) or abused as children. The longer she sat in the class, the more the thing she tried to bury so deep began to eat at her.

Berry was on the Cardinals' trip to Tampa last weekend.
