"The living end" nghĩa là gì?

"The living end" = Giới hạn sự sống -> Chỉ điều gì là nhất, là số một, đạt tới đỉnh điểm cao nhất. Cụm danh từ này dùng cho câu tích cực lẫn tiêu cực. Ví dụ, thích hoặc ghét ai/điều gì nhất.

Folks talk about it like it's the living end, but we just weren't that wowed by culatello. It doesn't have the unctuous texture (bề mặt thấm dầu) of a good prosciutto (thịt giăm bông).
To express surprise and joy over how amazing something is, you might say it's "the living end." As in "this lemonade is the living end" or "this song is the living end!" Folks (mọi người) may not know what you're talking about, but that's half the fun.
On the way back to my hotel, I walked through a park and entered a small pavilion (lều lớn) filled with books in many languages. A sign in English read, “Take a book, leave a book.” I smiled. The first Portuguese ships that spotted Madeira in 1420 thought it was the end of the earth. I just thought it was the living end, thanks to sledging, magnificent (tráng lệ, nguy nga) gardens, luxurious accommodations, levadas dripping with moss (rêu), delicious fresh fish, and even free books in a public park. The title of the song “Have Some Madeira, M’Dear” delivers good advice, but an even better recommendation would be to drink the wine while also visiting this unforgettable island.
