"Bloody nose strike" nghĩa là gì?

"Bloody nose strike" = đánh/tấn công chảy máu mũi -> nghĩa là cuộc tấn công trước/chặn trước của lực lượng quân đội nhằm tiêu diệt mục tiêu đang bị kìm hãm hoặc bị giới hạn về mặt phạm vị hoat động để ngăn chặn trước sự trả thù của địch.

We've been fielding questions lately about a proposal reportedly under discussion within the Trump national security team for a “bloody nose” strategy on North Korea. I haven’t taken this idea as seriously as I should.
The good news is that the Trump administration is up to the challenge and is already gaming out potential reactions to ensure North Korea pays a price for its actions. At least for the moment, there is no talk of a “bloody nose” strike or military option. However, Washington is ready to increase pressure if Pyongyang decides to give up on diplomacy (tài ngoại giao) and create a crisis (khủng hoảng).
In 2017, Trump exchanged nicknames and threats of nuclear war (chiến tranh hạt nhân) with Kim. At one point, Trump threatened to “totally destroy” North Korea. Reports suggested the Trump administration was considering a preemptive military attack on North Korea — a so-called “bloody nose” strike — in what some described as an attempt to deter (ngăn chặn) North Korea from further provocations (sự khiêu khích).
