"I'm so dismayed to see the president thumb his nose at the rule of law," said Weld, arguing that other countries have wanted to do business with the U.S. because of the rule of law here.

“Every time I do more and more and more to give you break after break after break to help you, you basically thumb your nose at me and do just what you want the way you want,” Brinkley said at the time. “So … I’m going to give you a sentence of incarceration (bỏ tù, tống giam). This sentence is absolutely necessary to vindicate (minh oan) the authority of the court.”

“According to Nielsen audience measurement data, adults 18 and older in the U.S. spend just shy of six hours (5 hours, 51 minutes) with their TV-connected devices each week. While that’s nothing to thumb your nose at, it’s dwarfed by the amount of time Americans spend with traditional radio, the proverbial patriarch (giáo trưởng) of the media industry. In fact, radio commands nearly 12 hours (11 hours, 51 minutes) of our weekly media diets — that’s almost four hours more than a typical work day,” Nielsen says.
