"To the victor go the spoils" = những chiến lợi phẩm về tay kẻ chiến thắng (viết theo văn xuôi phải là "The spoils go to the victor") -> nghĩa là bên thắng cuộc được quyền nhận mọi phần thưởng và lợi ích hoặc thành quả của sự thành công.
