"A guiding light" nghĩa là gì?

"A guiding light" = đèn dẫn đường, ngọn hải đăng -> một người có ảnh hưởng sâu sắc lên người khác, là nguồn cảm hứng và được mọi người ngưỡng mộ.
Ví dụ
A person who burns from inside like the sun or a lamp can be a guiding light into others life and its luminous flux (quang thông) decides as how much a preacher (người thuyết giáo)’s life is right; and the people who can’t or don’t, seem bright only to those who have mere eyesight without a vision inside but just a minuscule (nhỏ xíu) glare (ánh sáng).
Like many writers of my generation, I have long genuflected (quỳ gối) at the altar of Hurston’s work, starting with Their Eyes Were Watching God as a high school student, before discovering works like Mules and Men and Jonah’s Gourd Vine.
