"Guilt complex" nghĩa là gì?

Ngắn gọn thế này chưa chắc đã được tha thứ. :D Photo by Suzy Hazelwood from Pexels

"Guilt complex" = tội lỗi phức tạp -> cảm giác tội lỗi cực mạnh và kéo dài liên quan đến điều gì/ sự kiện nào đó. Ngược lại với "guilt-free" là chả cảm thấy có tội gì (dù có tội thật).

Ví dụ
And now our own Foreign Minister (Bộ trưởng Bộ Ngoại giao), Genscher, goes to Israel to give them money and weapons (vũ khí)—all because of our guilt complex. Do you think that's right?

Thanks to the mystery (bí ẩn) the director is shrouded (che giấu) in, we may never know if Nolan has some kind of guilt complex around someone he once lost in his life, but "Inception" may well be a big clue (manh mối).

In the ‘swinging 60s’ some leading figures (nhân vật hàng đầu) in our society began to believe that the people were developing a ‘guilt complex’ about the Ten Commandments (Mười điều răn), so they deliberately (cân nhắc) played down their significance.

What makes McMillions special (đặc biệt) is that it is essentially guilt-free true crime (tội phạm). If you, like me, consume a lot of true crime, you might sometimes be hit by the true crime guilt complex. Should we enjoy this? Should stories of other people’s misery (cảnh khốn khó) be entertainment (giải trí)?
