"Twice-told tale" nghĩa là gì?

Chắc ai cũng đọc rồi nhỉ? Photo by Leah Kelley from Pexels

"Twice-told tale" = chuyện kể hai lần -> nghĩa là chuyện cũ rích.

Ví dụ
I analyze (phân tích) ideas about language and trustworthiness (đáng tin cậy) that are embedded (cài cắm) in ideas about secondhand speech, twice-told tales.

The tale does get told, however. Indeed, if there is such a thing as a twice-told tale, surely that tale must be a tale 72 the stillness (yên lặng) that comes to all.

In the second part of this twice-told tale, the portrait (chân dung) of Maitre Brunet Latin, of Maestro Brunetto Latino, becomes that of the teacher of theory and the writer of books.

The text therefore is a twice-told tale. Various witnesses (nhân chứng) tell Marlow; Marlow tells the story as he sees it to a group of listeners on a veranda (hành lang) on a certain evening; one member of that audience presumably (có lẽ) tells us the words which make up the total text of the novel, augmented (tăng thêm) particularly by a packet of documents addressed to the "privileged" (đặc quyền) story teller.
