"White sheep" nghĩa là người ngoan ngoãn, nghe lời, trái ngược với "black sheep" nổi loạn.

Whilst I'm on the subject about the political correctness brigade, let me speak on behalf of the white sheep of the world—I don't like school blackboards being called a whiteboard or chalkboard. I find if totally offensive.

As a pastor’s (mục sư) kid growing up in the American Evangelical Church, I was surrounded by images of Jesus. He was usually depicted with light skin, brown hair and a flowing white robe, surrounded by happy little children or fluffy white sheep.

My boyfriend is the white sheep of his family: the only one to go to college and have an actual job. His mother is nice enough, but I have never seen his father sober (tỉnh táo). His sisters are so trashy (không ra gì) they belong on the side of the highway.

And so in the language a white life is a little better than a black life. Just follow. If somebody goes wrong in the family, we don’t call him a white sheep we call him a black sheep. And then if you block somebody from getting somewhere you don’t say they’ve been whiteballed, you say they’ve been blackballed.
