"Wolf down" = ăn như sói -> nghĩa là ăn ngấu nghiến.

Ví dụ
It was late September on one of those balmy (dễ chịu) post-summer days when Gary Muth and David Farrell decided to amble down (đi thong thả) to visit some of the old gang that had retired and moved to or near Niagara Falls. A sort of Big Chill trip down memory lane where we could wolf down plates of hot chicken wings, fries with gravy and cheeseburgers with all the fixings.

For every Sharp Objects, whose steamy brooding frustrated audiences over time, there’s a Succession, which needed a slow burn (tình tiết chậm rãi) to build hype around a tough sell. Likewise, The Undoing had more than a month to draw viewers in, and then timed the finale for a holiday weekend seemingly designed to wolf down silly crime serials in a tryptophan haze (hoang mang; rối rắm).

Office workers foresaw (đoán trước) a welcome change of pace as they were banished (đày đi) to their living rooms at the start of lockdown. Frenzied commutes (những lần đi lại điên cuồng) would give way to lie-ins (ngủ nướng). Lunch, usually a pre-packaged sandwich wolfed down between meetings, could be savoured (nhâm nhi). They might even sneak in a mid-afternoon yoga session. For many the reality has been different.
