“Regret-aversion bias” nghĩa là gì?

“Regret-aversion bias” = định kiến hối tiếc -> nghĩa là sợ đưa ra quyết định sai lầm (khi ngẫm lại); (ví dụ) sợ không đầu tư vào bất động sản tốt, hoặc mua nhầm tài sản xấu.

Regret Aversion Bias – Under this, investors are reluctant (lưỡng lự) to sell or lose the investments to avoid confronting (đối đầu) the fact that they have made poor investment decisions.
Most clients will appreciate the DCA's lower risk. All investors are prone to regret aversion and loss aversion biases, or, respectively, the tendency to avoid action out of fear it will turn out badly and to feel losses more strongly than gains. Indeed, the potential for losses is on average twice as powerful a motivator (người thúc đẩy) as the potential for gains.
Sometimes referred to ‘analysis-paralysis’, many investors avoid taking any decision at all for fear of making the wrong decision. Rather than live with the regret of following a particular course of action, some investors err on the side of doing nothing at all. ‘Regret-aversion’ bias, whether an error of omission (bỏ sót) or commission, and ‘herd bias’ often go hand-in-hand where an investor chooses to follow the crowd rather than live with the regret of not doing so.
