“Choice-supportive bias” = thiên vị trong lựa chọn -> nghĩa là xu hướng thấy thích những gì mình đã chọn, dù có chọn sai.

Ví dụ
In a new study published in the Strategic Management Journal, we investigated (điều tra) whether choice-supportive bias affects corporate (công ty) directors and, if so, what harm it does to companies. While the proverbial person in the street appears to be easy prey for choice-supportive bias, we theorized that directors’ education and business experience might protect them.

Things like confirmation bias, the illusion (ảo giác) of explanatory depth (we think we understand complex things better than we actually do), and choice-supportive bias (once we have ‘paid’ for something we are more likely to rate it as positive even when faced with evidence that it was a bad choice) all play into why we believe things that aren’t true and why it’s so hard to get people to change their minds,” Tedford said.

A factor attributing to progressives, and their inevitable demise (sự sụp đổ chắc chắn xảy ra) is susceptibility (sự nhạy cảm) toward what experts refer to as “choice supportive bias”.   This is the tendency for people to defend a choice even if it is clear that they made a bad choice.  The ongoing resistance movements against Donald Trump including their engaging in casual exaggeration to write the Articles of Impeachment is a clear example.
