"Granny dumping" nghĩa là gì?

"Granny dumping" có granny là bà lão, dumping là đổ (rác...) -> cụm từ này nghĩa là bỏ rơi nguời già (bởi người thân hoặc người chăm sóc) tại bệnh viện, bến xe buýt... do họ quá ốm yếu.

Ví dụ
One is the use of the label (nhãn) ‘Granny dumping’ to describe the behaviour of families who bring a relative to hospital and when advised the person does not require admission (ở lại), decline to bring them home. 

‘Granny dumping’ is a simplistic interpretation (giải thích) of the ‘bad family’ and ‘poor abandoned (bỏ rơi) patient.’ Families are often deeply conflicted about providing care for a relative who was abusive, absent (thẫn thờ) or unloving in their relationships.

A British businessman will stand trial accused of (hầu tòa) "granny dumping" an American dementia (mất trí) patient who was flown (bay) to the UK and abandoned in a car park.

Dr Pauline Chapman, an emergency physician who has worked at several Victorian hospitals, said the ''granny dumping seasons'' were well known to doctors, who often dealt with families spinning stories about their relatives' health or simply showing up to say they couldn't cope (đương đầu).
