"May you live in interesting times" = chúc bạn có khoảng thời gian thú vị -> câu nói (mỉa mai, châm biếm) dành cho đối phương đang trong giai đoạn bất ổn, bất trắc.

Ví dụ
"May you live in interesting times," is said to be an ancient (cổ đại) curse (lời nguyền). But is it? May was certainly an interesting month, and our mailbag (túi thư) doesn't disappoint! In this episode of Rule Breaker Investing, we have perspectives (góc nhìn) from all ages, from around the world, and even from the future!

There is, allegedly, an ancient curse which states, “May you live in interesting times.” We have been on the receiving end of “interesting times” for a while now — and all of us have been watching the clock, waiting for this curse to end.

You know the double-edged expression, “May you live in interesting times.” I’m curious (tò mò) how you thought about time, history, and legacy as you were writing Take What You Can Carry, which is set in 1979 and moves from Los Angeles to northern Iraq.

Of course, the saying “may you live in interesting times” is thought to be a curse, not a blessing (lời chúc). Eventful times are interesting only in hindsight while living through them is disquieting, disempowering, and often dangerous. Hence: I am not complaining. But living in quiet times brings its own challenges — especially when circumstances change.
