Ví dụ
The Chinese government has ordered a boycott (tẩy chay) of “sissy pants” celebrities as it escalates a fight against what it sees as a cultural import that threatens China’s national strength.

Cui Le, a researcher on queer issues in China with the University of Auckland, said the clampdown (chính sách khẩn cấp) on “sissy pants” reflected authorities’ attempt to reinforce mainstream gender roles and resist what they regard as Western gender values.

The narrative around “sissy pants” or “feminine men” is being discussed in the same breath as the country’s demographic crisis, with the volume of voices claiming China is facing a “masculinity crisis” growing louder both from the public and the state. As early as 2017, authorities have said that physical activities could be one of the first steps to avert the “feminization” of young men.

Authorities also urged the companies to “resolutely resist (từ chối) unhealthy cultures” including worship of money and “boys’ love”—a popular literary genre in China that depicts the romantic relationships between males, as well as “sissy pants,” a derogatory (miệt thị) term used in China to describe effeminate males, a group that has already been under attack by China’s TV watchdog—it said celebrities who sport this style should be banned from screens.
