"Whataboutism" nghĩa là gì?


"Whataboutism" -> nghĩa là đáp lại một câu hỏi khó hay lời chỉ trích bằng cách hỏi lại một câu có nội dung tương tự, thường bắt đầu bằng 'what about'.

In politics, "whataboutism" is a response to an accusation (buộc tội) of wrongdoing by claiming that an offense committed by someone else is just as bad or worse. Merriam-Webster also defined "astroturf," a figurative term to describe political campaigns that appear grassroots but are instead supported by powerful interests.

It's hard to believe this one isn't in your grandpa's threadbare (cũ rích) dictionary. The practice of whataboutism certainly goes back millennia.

Whataboutism is the act of responding to an accusation by making one of your own with the intention of minimizing (làm giảm) your sin.
