"Vaccine hesitancy" có hesitancy là ngập ngừng, lưỡng lự -> nghĩa là không muốn, từ chối tiêm vắc xin ngay cả khi có suất tiêm.

Ví dụ
“When I ask my patients (bệnh nhân) why they don’t want to be vaccinated, many simply refuse without giving an explanation (giải thích),” he told Al Jazeera, adding that sometimes patients will blame vaccine hesitancy on a prior condition like diabetes, despite him reassuring (động viên) them that it is safe for them to be jabbed.

The U.S. should not blame (đổ lỗi) South Africa—or any other nation—for vaccine hesitancy, or stop sending vaccines to places that need them. Vaccine access is crucial (quan trọng). But vaccine hesitancy is an urgent problem, and a global one.

Populism, a political expression of this mistrust (nghi ngờ), is correlated with vaccine hesitancy. In a 2019 study, Jonathan Kennedy, a sociologist at Queen Mary University of London, found a significant association between the percentage of people who voted for populist parties within a country and the percent who believe vaccines are not important or effective.
