"Ready for the knacker's yard" có knacker's yard là nơi làm việc của người buôn tàu cũ để phá lấy vật liệu -> cụm từ này nghĩa là hỏng hóc, hư hỏng, dẫn trở nên vô dụng, lỗi thời.

Ví dụ
Pip pip - you're ready for the Knacker's Yard! Traditional old sayings and phrases are falling out of use as Britons confess they no longer use or even UNDERSTAND them

I’m not ready for the knacker’s yard (yet), but I’m convinced (thuyết phục) my brain thinks it’s still 25 not 49. I feel slightly cheated when I see this balding stranger staring back at me in the mirror – a mocking imitation of the younger me.

Then again, casting yourself as a protector of the elderly is also another way of telling yourself you’re not ready for the knacker’s yard.

The other two are Kumar Sangakkara and Joe Root, a sure sign that the old ways are not ready for the knacker's yard yet. But Williamson was a lone (đơn độc) Kiwi ranger.
