"Wigwam for a goose’s bridle" = cột dây cương của con ngỗng vào nhà -> câu trả lời cho câu hỏi không mong muốn, lảng tránh câu hỏi đó; giống với 'none of your business' (không phải việc của mày).

Ví dụ
What time is it? A hair past a freckle (tàn nhang) (optionally: going on a wart). What are you making? A wigwam for a goose's bridle. And so on.

The other saying was if Mum happened to be making something and I asked what it was. The answer was always ‘a wigwam for a goose’s bridle’ which of course makes no sense at all. Did your parents have saying designed to shut you up?

I knew Jack was a drongo, but when I called out, ‘Cooee!’ he called me a larrikin (du côn) who was lucky to have landed a real bonzerina of a sheila. Stone the crows,  you were right,  he is a bit of a flaming galah.  He said something crazy about going to get a bloody wigwam for a goose’s bridle. He’s got a few kangaroos loose in the top paddock.
