"Yes them to death" nghĩa là gì?

"Yes someone to death" = ừ đến chết thì thôi -> nghĩa là liên tục trả lời 'ừ' tới câu hỏi của người khác vì chán nản hay cáu gắt, khó chịu.
Ví dụ
'He is the most talented but most contradictory (hay cãi lại) person. He has surrounded (vây quanh) himself with an entourage who yes him to death. How can you expand yourself surrounded by yes-men?' she told Dominick Dunne of Vanity Fair in the late 1980s.
Steve: “I’m just going to give him some basic answers, yes him to death and get the hell out of there. I’ve tried telling him the issues (vấn đề) before and how they are going to get worse but he doesn’t want to hear it. He just wants to hear what he wants and gives us crap for what happens afterward.”
It is easy, cowardly even, to criticize (chỉ trích) the president, any president, in writing, when you would likely yes him to death in person.
I’m not going to yes him to death – that’s not why I’m there. At the same time, whatever Mike decides, we’re all going to be on the same page as a coaching staff.
