He also introduced the Eye of Providence (con Mắt Thượng đế) surrounded by rays of divine light, representing the eye of God watching over the nation. To make the reference clear, a motto was later added: “Annuit Coeptis,” meaning “God favors our undertaking.”

In the Cox Corridor we see the words “America! God shed His grace on thee.” At the east Senate entrance the words Annuit Coeptis greet (chào đón) us — Latin for “God has favored our undertakings.”

Of course, the Source Commune added a few things to the standard (tiêu chuẩn) buck design—like some planetary and elemental shorthand—but everything that’s on the bill is reproduced up there on the big sign, including the Latin inscriptions (câu khắc ghi), Annuit Coeptis and Novus Ordo Seclorum.
