"Silent Generation" nghĩa là gì?

"Silent Generation" = Thế hệ Im lặng -> nghĩa là thế hệ được sinh ra giữa những năm 1920 và 1940, có xu hướng tuân thủ và bị ràng buộc, gò bó trong hành vi và quan điểm.

Andrew Tucker claims “the silent generation” is a misnomer (sai thuật ngữ) for those aged 75-plus, since the ones he knows talk (Letters, 19 June). I suspect a proportion of the ones he knows have lost a partner, and by necessity are members of the silent generation; it is just when they are in company that they talk the hind legs off a donkey.
In a recent study, “Most Satisfying Cars by Age Group,” Consumer Reports ranks over 300,000 cars by customer satisfaction and age group. Among the generations are Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, Baby Boomers, and the Silent Generation. Many of the top vehicles span (trải dài) multiple generations, but for Baby Boomers, one uniquely American car ranks at the top of the list for the nation’s wealthiest generation: the Chevrolet Corvette.
