"Code-switch" nghĩa là gì?

"Code-switch" = đổi mã -> nghĩa là thay đổi giữa hai hoặc nhiều ngôn ngữ, phương ngữ hay cách phát âm khi nói chuyện.

Sociolinguists, social psychologists, and identity (danh tính) researchers are interested in the ways in which code-switching, particularly by members of minority ethnic groups, is used to shape and maintain a sense of identity and a sense of belonging to a larger community.
Code-switching among African American students has been recognized since the 1970s and has informed different views of those students’ home dialect (phương ngữ) (AAE) and different approaches to the teaching of standard English.
Linguistic code-switching is mostly used within bilingual (song ngữ) and multilingual (đa ngữ) communities, and there are many reasons to use this method, such as the need to fit (hòa nhập) in with a group, as a force of habit, or to convey (truyền tải) thoughts and concepts that might be easier to explain in a specific language.
