"There oughta be a law" nghĩa là gì?

"There oughta be a law" -> câu nói khi người nói không thích, thấy điều xảy ra vi phạm luật lệ; 'lẽ ra phải có luật để cấm chứ'.

The idea is that once students are exposed to various views and ideas, they may learn to resist (chống lại) the “there oughta be a law” reflex (phản ứng) and come up with more creative methods of solving environmental problems.
Ah, the “There oughta be a law” crowd. How about unless you know the full context let’s refrain (kiềm chế) from suggesting the government steal kids from families…
The city coroner (nhân viên điều tra những vụ chết bất thường) reasoned that “the time had come for legislation that would prevent the sale of pistols to irresponsible persons.” As they say in New York, “There oughta be a law.” Yes, and there oughta be a law against chaos, too.
