"Tall poppy syndrome" = hội chứng cây anh túc cao -> nghĩa là người thành công nhưng lại bị xã hội chỉ trích, phản đối, tấn công.

In a classic case of tall poppy syndrome, the kākāpō has been booted out of the annual (hằng năm) Bird of the Year competition because it's taking the spotlight from lesser-known birds. The organisation behind the competition, Forest and Bird, said the "political playing field is wide open" for the prestigious (quý giá) title with the fan favourite kākāpō notably absent from the competition.
“There’s definitely tall poppy syndrome when young players start to grow a profile,” he said. “And if that’s out of the ordinary or out of the norm (quy chuẩn) then senior players definitely in the past have tried to stifle that and tell them how to act.
