"Trophy wife" nghĩa là gì?

"Trophy wife" = người vợ chiến tích -> nghĩa là người vợ trẻ, xinh đẹp được coi như biểu tượng địa vị của người chồng lớn hơn nhiều tuổi.
Ví dụ
Maheep Kapoor thought about making her husband Sanjay Kapoor pay for expensive facelift surgery (phẫu thuật), calling herself a “trophy wife”.
Still in the clinic (phòng khám), Seema warned Maheep that the procedure costs a lot but the latter confidently (đầy tự tin) replied: “I will make Sanjay pay for it… I am Sanjay’s trophy wife.”
Basically, a trophy wife is a derogatory (xúc phạm) term used to look down on certain women in a marriage who are usually young and beautiful, but with nothing else to offer aside from her looks—hence, she's perceived (được coi là) as a shiny “trophy” a husband flaunts (khoe khoang) and parades around to others. It’s the kind of label people say in hushed whispers, or in Heart’s case, blatant ridicule, in passing judgment on a person they hardly know.
