Brown noise is one classification (phân loại) of noise “color.” Each color represents (đại diện) long-lasting patterns of noise frequencies that we can hear, ranging from 20 to 20,000 hertz.
Brown noise, the better-known white noise, and even pink noise are examples of sonic hues. These are “constant” noises with minimal sound variation (biến thể) – highs, lows and changing speeds – compared with sounds such as music or someone reading aloud.
Researchers have not specifically examined the impact (ảnh hưởng) of brown noise on sleep. However, there is some limited science about the impact of white or pink noise.
For example, if you have tinnitus (ù tai), a ringing in one or both ears, pink and brown noise frequencies are better options than white noise, according to Silverman.
